A quick note of appreciation

Dear Speak Up Community,

I’ve been involved with the Speak Up work for over 10 years now. We first embarked on the journey in 2009. The first magazine was printed and vendors empowered in 2011.

We’re now in 2022. It has been a remarkable run, with over 90 magazines released, many hundreds of street vendors equipped, over one hundred writers published, and dozens upon dozens of volunteers filling essential and transformative roles.

I’m so thankful and grateful to you in the Speak Up Community. All of you.

You spark such joy in this endeavor for me and for many others.

Thank you for bravely sharing your stories and bringing to life the stories of others. Thank you for courageously putting yourself out as vendors, distributing Speak Up for income and a voice. Thank you, dear volunteers, for serving so selflessly and with such patient endurance. 

I’ve loved many years we’ve shared together and I’m excited about the many to come.

This is just a quick note, on a Wednesday afternoon, to tell you thank you and you are appreciated.
